Lions

I read a book about lions I made a digital learning object in google draw to show some of the facts I learnt.

Crabs

                 Crabs

Crabs are decapods from the crustacean family. There are different types of crabs. There are hermit crabs, red crabs, blue crabs and horseshoe crabs.

Crabs have ten legs, their first set are their claws. They have a hard shell which protects them.

Crabs lay their eggs in a sack. They lay 8 eggs a year.

Crabs live in oceans all over the world. They also live in freshwater and on land in the sand. They can live up to 8 years old.

Crabs eat sea worms, algae and molluscs. Crabs chew their food inside the stomach.

Pet Day

                      I made a mess of my vaseline saucer but it looked ok. I used a bright colour yellow so mine would stand out.  My vaseline saucer was for pet day. 
Today was pet day and I brought my kittens. The ginger one's name is beanie and the twins are called Rose and Spidergirl. I won third place.

Maori

In Maori we have been learning how to say actions in Maori.

How bees make honey

I created an animation to explain how a bee makes honey. I then used screencastify to record my explanation of how bees make honey.

We have been learning how to create Thinglinks. I created a thinglink about the Rio Olympics.

Multiplication and Division

We have been learning to work in small groups to work out multiplication and division problems.

Partly Cloudy

WE watched a video called Partly Cloudy. We had to write descriptive sentences using adverbs as sentence starters. Here is my piece of writing.

                 Partly Cloudy

Zip! Quickly the bird dropped the babies off. In a  second the white birds were gone.The clouds made the babies; cats, dogs and people. Under all the clouds was a cloud who couldn't make anything. Suddenly he made something but what could it be. His bird had been in the wars. This cloud was not a sun cloud he was a storm cloud! So for the rest of the time he made dangerous babies. The bird did not like this much, in fact not at all. One day his bird decided to go to another cloud. The storm cloud did not know what was

going on. But he came back with gear just in case he got hurt again.

It might of not turned out well but I did my best. We made clay pots for if we were stuck in the forest with nothing we could make something to drink water out off.

Narrative Writing

We have been learning how to write narratives. Here is a narrative I have written.

Dino time

Once there was a t-rex who people said was evil. He lived in green wet forest with a village nearby.

One day the dinosaur heard a noise. He followed it through the forest to the river. He saw a brown wooden boat. The boat had two men aboard. Bob and Dod saw the evil dinosaur. They tried their hardest to get away.

Suddenly the t-rex stopped and said, “I only want a friend!”

With confused faces Bob and Dod look at each other and whispered, “this dinosaur is crazy.”

Dod shouted to the t-rex, “what is your name?”

The t-rex added, “my name is Dino.”

“Well Dino we're in!”

So the three new best friends all walked home to the village and they lived happily ever after.

WINTER

Winter blows its cold icy breath everywhere.

The early morning frost is crunchy and white covering the green grass.

The loud wind howls in the freezing air like a stray dog hungry for a bone.
Tiny snowflakes flutter down to land on the frozen ground,

covering everything with a white sparkling blanket.

The trees become bare, brown bones standing like statues admiring the view.|

Heavy rain falls from the dark grey sky, pounding against the soggy ground.

Chilly bitterness in the air, winter is here.

Volcano

Here is my groups animation about an erupting volcano.

Here is my moment in time about the volcano erupting. Mine is called Red River.

Boom! Roar. The volcano started to blow. Ssssss! Poof. A red river of lava zips down burning everything in its path. It burnt sheds, grass and all in its way. The lava created a river that flowed down the volcano.        

Magic man

“Are you ready with your teddy!” yelled the magician.

“I am here today to talk about being kind.” “Are you being good?” he asked. “Yes!” shouted the school.  “Great, let the magic begin,” he replied.

Unboxing Day

“Yipee!” I shouted happily. Honey was beside me. She was very happy. I got my chromebook box. Eeeeek! “10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1,” shouted the school. Open!. Then there was singing. The man from the paper took photos.
