Crabs

                 Crabs
Crabs are decapods from the crustacean family. There are different types of crabs. There are hermit crabs, red crabs, blue crabs and horseshoe crabs.

Crabs have ten legs, their first set are their claws. They have a hard shell which protects them.

Crabs lay their eggs in a sack. They lay 8 eggs a year.

Crabs live in oceans all over the world. They also live in freshwater and on land in the sand. They can live up to 8 years old.

Crabs eat sea worms, algae and molluscs. Crabs chew their food inside the stomach.
