People have to deal with rubbish. Rubbish is an environmental problem. The environment is the world around you and me. Rubbish is a wrapping or old piece of plastic. Firstly rubbish looks like food to an animal. The animal eats it up and the rubbish will block up their stocahe, and so their dead.  You can help the poor animals by picking up your rubbish and putting it in the bin. Secondly some good people recycle. By recycling you stop tons of rubbish going to landfill. Landfill is a huge hole in the ground that all your goes into. Landfill is not at all good for the environment because it is full of plastic and is degradable which means it won’t rot away. Thirdly, people burn where rubbish. That means they are releasing gases into the atmosphere and the gas are also speeding up global warming. Which is some of the air pollution and is all so the smoke from the fire is bad for your lungs. So there you have it rubish is a very bad problem. So if you put your rubbish in the bin,start recycling and stop burning rubbish we will have a healthy planet.

My Thermometer Silly Sentence

This term we have been learning about temperature. We made silly sentences to remember how to thermometer. Here is my sentence:

We have been using Pear Deck to help us learn more about sentence structure so that we can get better at noticing where one sentence ends and another one begins. This should also help us get better scores for punctuation. This a screenshot of an activity we did: first we had to highlight the noun and verb parts of the sentences and then we had to decide where the full stops and capital letters should go.

Whoohoo!! Term 3

Sweet!! Term 3 has arrived and my classmates and me are back at school for another term full of learning. I'm very refreshed after a two week holiday. In the holidays I did heaps of stuff, but one of my highlights would have to be going to my aunty and uncle's farm. It's the best time of year to go because it's calving season which means I get a pet calf but at the moment I don't get one because I already have two rabbits. Their names are Caramel and Ash. In the calf shed I have a connection with this  black calf I named Pepper. I am looking forward to the term ahead of us. On the 25th of August is the ski trip and I am really excited about the ski trip because I have never seen snow before.

Pink shirt day

On friday it was pink shirt day. The pink shirts mean anti-bullying. Some of the boys were dressed in pink dresses. I was dressed in a pink T-shirt and a pink skirt my friend Indi was wearing a pink hula skirt and pink afro wig. Pink shirt day was so much fun.

This week on Thursday we played golf with a man named Paul. It was so much fun and he told us these little sayings for playing golf. Feet together, hand togther and tick tock like a clock for hitting a ball. We had to hit the ball at the target. The person with the lowest score wins. I am glad he came.

Swimming T1 2018

This year we have been practising streamlining our arms and legs. we have also been practising our breathing skills.
I am good at free style.
We also had swim safe to teach us survival skills.
I can swim a length of our school pool.
